Marrickville FC Girls Gala Day: Celebrating Female Football
Marrickville FC, in partnership with Dribl and the NSW Government Local Sports Grant, hosted a Girls Gala Day on Monday, July 8th, at Arlington Reserve, Dulwich Hill. This special event was dedicated to celebrating female football and was filled with fun, competition, and community spirit.
A Day of Football Fun
The Girls Gala Day invited girls from Under 8's to Under 14's to participate in a 5-a-side competition. Games ran from 9 am to 3 pm, providing a fantastic opportunity for young female footballers to showcase their skills, form teams, and enjoy a day dedicated to celebrating their passion for football.
Community Support and Participation
As one of the Gala Day partners, Dribl helped to ensure the event remained free and accessible to all participants. Additionally, a special shoutout goes to all the wonderful Game Leaders who officiated the games with excellence and enthusiasm, and to all the players, managers, and parents for joining the event and making the day so great!
The hard work and vision of the Marrickville FC team in planning and organising the event were instrumental in making the Girls Gala Day a success. We hope everyone had a great day and enjoyed celebrating female football.
