Dribl Announced as Tech Partner for the Homeless World Cup
Dribl is proud to announce its partnership as an Official Supporter of the Homeless World Cup. This will be the first time the tournament has been hosted in Asia, with the Cup taking place in Seoul from the 21st to the 28th of September.
We are honoured to support grassroots organisations in enjoying the beautiful game while addressing the global issue of homelessness. This collaboration underscores our commitment to making a positive impact through football.
About the Homeless World Cup
The vision of the Homeless World Cup is for a world without homelessness. Their mission is to use football to support and inspire homeless individuals to change their own lives and to shift perceptions and attitudes towards people experiencing homelessness.
Operating a global network, the Homeless World Cup brings together nearly 70 grassroots organisations using football to tackle homelessness and social isolation. The organisation provides a focal point and celebration of year-round activity with its landmark international street football tournament. It also supports day-to-day work by building international connections, facilitating skill-sharing, and helping members develop.
The Impact of the Homeless World Cup
The tournament offers a sense of purpose to those who may feel they have lost theirs, inspiring them to change their lives. Being homeless can be incredibly isolating, making individuals feel removed from society and alone. Joining a football team can be a small but significant step in helping an individual become part of a community.
The Homeless World Cup uses football as a global support network to help and inspire those struggling to make a home for themselves, creating an empowering environment for change. The tournament aims to make participants feel like champions before they even step onto the pitch. Each year, the international network of member countries inspires more than 100,000 homeless people worldwide, with over 500 players participating in more than 400 games over eight days.
